FAQ for setting up Eudora email software

FAQ: How do I configure my Eudora email software?
Note: Eudora Lite can not be used with Sanders Hosting's email server.

Note: the information provided on the screenshots are for illustration purposes only. That is not the information you will provide your Eudora software.

Eudora Pro (version 4.x)
- Open Eudora
- Right click on the left window of Eudora named "Personalities".
- Choose "New" from the menu that will appear.
- Choose "Skip directly to advanced account setup".
- Fill in all the necessary information.
  
  Personality Name: the identifying name assigned to the personality. This will make it easier for you to see your email accounts listed in "Personalities".
  Real Name: the name you enter here is included in the "From" field of all your ongoing messages, and identifies to your recipients who the email is from
  Return Address: type your email address. This would be the username of the account you created in the Control Panel, plus, the "@" symbol followed by your domain. Example: [email protected]
  Login Name: type your username. This would be the username of the account you created in the Control Panel, plus, the "%" symbol followed by your domain. Example: username_you_chose%yourdomain.com
  SMTP Server: there are three options for you to use
  1. Your ISP's SMTP server
  2. mail.sandershosting.com
  3. Your own SMTP server (please check "Installing your own SMTP server on your computer" for more information).
- Incoming Mail Information.
  
  Server Name: your domain name or IP Number
  Configuration: Select "POP".
- Remember to check Eudora's settings on Tools, Options, to configure things like automatic checking of your accounts, colors, etc.
